The first step in becoming a Christian is to see and admit your need for Jesus Christ. Our sins have separated us from Holy God. We need to be forgiven, to be acceptable in God’s sight. This is why Jesus came to earth. He was sent by God into this world to live a perfect, sinless life, to satisfy God’s standard of righteousness and to die in our place for our sins. His sinless blood atoned for our wicked sins. When Jesus rose from the grave on the third day, he proved He was deity. He proved that He was able to conquer death and sin, and He offered to us an eternal relationship with God by believing in Him.

What must you do to become a Christian? BELIEVE on the LORD Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Believe means to totally trust in Jesus Christ as your LORD and the only way to God.
How do we pray to be a Christian? Here’s a prayer we recommend. “Dear God, I come to you right now and ask you to forgive me of my sins and come to live within me. I need you. I want you. I cannot make it without you. I humble myself to you as my LORD. Have mercy on me. Give me a heart that loves you, a mind that is renewed by you, and a spirit that is thankful to you. I’m sorry for the way I have broken your heart and your laws. I truly want a changed life. I believe in Jesus right now. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is LORD. I believe you love me and forgive me and have given me eternal life right now. Thank you God for receiving me”
