What do I have to do to join Cascade Hills?
At Cascade Hills there are four requirements for becoming a member:
1) Must be a believer of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
2) Must have been baptized by immersion since becoming a believer.
3) Completion of the Discover Cascade Hills Class.
How do I get started?
After becoming a believer of Christ or deciding to join by other means, do one of the three:
1. Come forward during the invitation time of any service.
2. Fill out a guest card indicating your decision and bring it to the Membership Information area OR place it in the offering plate at the end of any service.
3. Call the Church at 327-5743.
HOW DO I BECOME A CHRISTIAN?
Realize that we are all sinners.
"There is none righteous, no not one" (Romans 3:10)
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
Sin separates us from God.
"For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23)
This doesn't mean only physical death but spiritual death as well.
Jesus Christ, God's Son, lived a perfect life and died for our sin in our place.
"But God commended His love toward us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
You must repent of your sins and personally invite Jesus into your heart.
Salvation is free, but it is not cheap. It cost God His Son. Salvation is simple. It is not something you work to achieve, rather it is by grace through faith in Christ. It is personal. No one else can do it for you. You must make this decision on your own.
Receiving Jesus Christ as Savior does not have to be done in a church.
You can ask Jesus to come into your heart right where you are, and I urge you to do so while you have that desire.
After receiving Christ, it is important that you grow in your faith.
That is done by: making your decision for Christ known to someone; being baptized (a picture that your old self has died, you have buried your former ways and you have risen to a new life in Christ); attending church and being encouraged by other growing Christians; reading the Bible for yourself; and praying daily so that you can talk to God as your new Father
